Christmas

Been so incredibly busy these past couple of weeks, actually got home at 4:30am last night *sigh*

So Christmas Eve I spent with Monika's family and had a traditional Polish feast which was pretty awesome, her family is like a second one to me =] and her cousins absolutely adore me which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside haha.
Went to midnight mass in Polish for the first time in my life, most boring 2 hours I could ever have spent, but oh well, it made her happy :p the things we do for people we love ae?
Then we had to go babysit a creche (long story) out in the cold, with all the wild animals, snow, and rapists... or just the snow.

Did something brave today =]

Project status: lagging very far behind, love being busy but it's not very productive.

There's so much more to write about but I just can't be bothered right now... Merry Christmas y'all (imagine that in a southern drawl, it'll make you smile or cringe).

Horseback riding

So, today Sammie G was cool enough to show me the ropes on horseback riding out on his farm. What to say about the experience other than the fact that it was mind blowingly awesome?
Well, horses are a lot larger than I expected, although his were really friendly so it was okay. The one I got to ride was called Mack (sp?) and he kept trying to lick/eat my fleece... yum :p

There was still snow on the ground so we sort've froze, but it was all good. He let me try a walk and a trot =D it was literally the most awesome feeling ever!
I got to groom and help tack up Mack, ahhh! It's a lot of effort, but definitely worth it.
Had to throw away my shoes afterward though coz they got really really gross and muddy haha oh well.

Got home and took a hot shower, then after dinner I did a tonne of baking:
- batch of banana chocolate chunk muffins
- batch of cinnamon pear strudel muffins
- batch of peanut butter & chocolate cookies
- 1/2 batch raisin scones
- 1/2 batch cinnamon raisin scones
- pancake mix for tmrw morning =]

America: week 2

So... what have I not updated about? Hmm... I s'pose almost everything.

Thanksgiving: spent the day with family, cooked lots of food =] I have photos but am much too lazy to put them up.
Dad got me an external HD on black friday. Awesome. Not that I have much to put in it anyway.

Saturday 28th: Monika's birthday bonfire. So much fun!
Won money off the boys in poker ;) surprisingly enough I'm not terrible at it, even though I don't really know how to play yet haha.
Stayed up all night playing silly games like never have I ever and truth or dare.

Sunday 29th: absolutely knackered from lack of sleep.
Moved about 20 boxes of stuff from the old house to the new place. Sore. Tired. Grumpy. What else is new? Haha.

Monday 30th: More moving.
Tuesday 1st: Again, more moving. Finally finish. We go out for dinner and I absolutely stuff myself with crap - sooo full I can barely move =D

Today: Got prodded awake by mum, forced to get dressed and go into town to get my passport. The guy there was really nice and helped us with the paperwork I was missing so I didn't have to drive to the capital and spend $300 on a new form =] whoo... the first thing that's gone right on this trip!
Nothing else really exciting happening :s hopefully getting a new phone haha... that better not get stolen again.
